In most cases we hold no data about you at all. InstaDetox has no user accounts, no registration and no server. Everything the app knows about your usage stays on your phone. We only learn anything if you actively write to us.
Your settings, your app selection and your usage statistics are held solely in the app’s protected storage on your phone. You delete them completely, without involving us:
If you have used the system-wide grayscale filter, please switch it off in the app before uninstalling. The app will then restore your original colour setting. Otherwise you can reset colour correction yourself at any time in the Android settings under “Accessibility”.
If you have the Android backup enabled, a copy of your settings may sit in your own Google account. You manage that backup yourself in your Google account settings; we have no access to it.
If you have written to us through the app’s feedback dialogue or directly by email, your message is in our mailbox, possibly with the attached usage file, if you had switched on “Attach usage data”.
How to request deletion: write informally to
instadetox-support@shortcut-it.com
One sentence is enough, for example: “Please delete all data you have stored about me.” We do not need a reason.
Please write from the same email address you used to contact us originally, if you can. As we keep no accounts and no identifiers, the sender address is the only way to locate your data. If you write from a different address, please tell us the original one.
We confirm the deletion by reply. Legally we have one month; in practice we are considerably faster.
Even without any action from you, we delete your message and its attachment as soon as your enquiry is resolved, and no later than 90 days after receipt.
One exception applies to product improvement: for that we separate the usage file from your email and evaluate it without any sender reference. That data may be kept longer, because it can no longer be attributed to a person.
Besides deletion you have rights to access, rectification, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Consent given can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future. Details are in section 10 of the privacy policy; section 11 describes the additional rights for users in Switzerland, Brazil and Colombia. The route is the same: an informal email to the address above.
